Happy Saturday everyone! Yesterday I kicked off my weekend with a little treasure hunting and found this amazing set of jade green salt and pepper shakers. Unmarked, so at first I was thinking they were Jeanette glass. Well - turns out they were made in 1894 by the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Co. I adore finding so much history in such little items :)
Being the hopeless romantic that I am, my mind immediately wonders where have these little items been on their long journey leading up to when I found them yesterday in a disheveled box?
In a sweet cottage somewhere overlooking the ocean? Maybe in a Victorian mansion at their breakfast table. In a display cabinet? Oh, if these could talk! lol
I also found sweet handkerchiefs and milk glass vases. Oh, and an adorable set of milk glass dessert dishes that are now up in the shop.
Speaking of the shop, I am holding my first sale this weekend! April 9th and April 10th only enter coupon code HAPPY15 at checkout and receive 15% off your order! Shipping and insurance is free.
I am off to my son's opening day baseball game this evening but will post tomorrow for Sweet Sunday with many more photos. I also hope to sneak in some more knitting time on the Tea Leaves Cardigan I started.
I'll leave you today with my newest Etsy Treasury....When I Take My Sugar to Tea. Yes, I listen to the Boswell Sisters a tad too much lol.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
